Různá tvrdost gumy a posun rukojeti vzhledem k hlavičkám na obou koncích paličky Pastel Mallet 15/15 nám umožní rozehrát tóny v rozsahu větším než jedna oktáva. Posouváním navíc můžeme jednotlivé tóny ladit a vytvářet mezi nimi souzvuk v akordu.

V kombinaci s druhou paličkou můžeme hrou oběma rukama dosáhnout na nebeskou klenbu pevně usazených svrchních tónů gongu, jejichž podmanivé kráse a síle se nic nevyrovná.
